  • To develop a deeper understanding of the needs of all Old Mutual customers, and to respond to them.
  • To continue to transform the Old Mutual workforce and to bring the company closer to its communities.
  • To continue to develop a new breed of service professional, active in all the organisation's service channels.
  • Without neglecting the dual imperatives of growth and efficiency, the company must embrace positively the arrival of industry legislation, an increasingly sophisticated financial services market, the Financial Sector Charter, and a potentially low inflation environment.
  • While competing for human capital - to attract, develop and retain a diverse group of talented people who perform optimally to provide a competitive advantage - attention must be paid to managing employment costs effectively.
