Corporate
Citizenship reporting encompasses the economic, social and environmental
aspects of an organisation’s performance.
This is Old Mutual’s second report, and it reflects the company’s
commitment to measuring and reporting on its Corporate Citizenship
progress. Using a triplebottom line methodology, the report is structured
into economic, social and environmental sections. For each of these
sections, key performance issues (summarised on p. 3) and measurement
indicators have been identified.
Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) and HIV/AIDS have been specifically
highlighted in overviews on pages 8 and 12, together with page referencing
of detailed coverage of these issues in various sections of the report.
This has been done because of the cross-cutting nature of the issues,
and in anticipation of future reporting requirements for these two
issues.
A governance section is also included in the report.
As with all Corporate Citizenship reporting, Old Mutual’s process
of measurement and reporting is an evolving one. We are committed
to ongoing improvement and to balanced, transparent disclosure. We
encourage stakeholder feedback on what you would like to see included
in future reports. |
